The Karshi branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad Al-Khwarizmi, established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Improving the personnel training system in the field of IT” dated June 2, 2005, has become one of the leading universities in the field of information technologies.
Currently, the university trains specialists in such areas as “Information Security”, “Computer Engineering”, “Software Engineering”, “Telecommunication Technologies” and “Professional education in the field of information and communication technologies”.
About 1300 students are enrolled in these areas of education, with 78 undergraduate and graduate students, including 18 academic degrees.
In order to introduce advanced international experience in the educational process and to ensure the entry of universities into leading world universities, a credit system was introduced to train specialists in information and communication technologies, and the faculty needs to undergo retraining and advanced training of specialists in leading foreign universities.
In order to further develop the production of compatible ICT standards for international experience in the field of information and communication technologies and medical education, the “Programmers Training”, “Electronic Government” and European Union Erasmus+ Technical Rehabilitation centers are being introduced.
Bilateral relations of cooperation with the Novosibirsk State Technical University, the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, the Institute of Computer Engineering of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and radio- electronics and the National University of Tajikistan are widely established.
Young people who graduated from the Karshi branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad Al-Khwarizmi, today are contributing to the field of information technologies.
